Presentation Abstract
Emerging Trends in MBSE
As Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is increasingly adopted in production-level systems development, several common themes are emerging in multiple implementations:
- Model Federation allows system data to remain in the most appropriate tools and repositories rather than a single centralized database. It provides integration without major disruption of existing workflows or legacy multi-vendor toolsets.
- Graph Theory provides a uniform abstraction for both intra-model and inter-model connections and exploits the rapid advances in information technology driven by social networks
- Digital Thread emphasizes the integration of development, manufacturing and operations in a common framework over the entire system lifecycle
In this presentation, we will describe and demonstrate several projects where Syndeia, the MBSE interoperability platform from Intercax, and MagicDraw have been part of an enterprise solution. These include autonomous vehicles, the OpenMBEE consortium and NIST’s Digital Thread initiative.
